Ernest Wileman was born 5 March 1916 in Clifton Hill Victoria and lived in Carlton when he enlisted on 1 July 1940

He joined the Battalion on 29 November 1940 as part of D Company.

Ernest was killed in action on 11.2.1942 in the battle for Singapore.
