The purposes of the association are:

(a) To perpetuate the name, memory and tradition of the 2/29th Battalion in whatever manner is considered practicable and desirable by the Committee;

(b) To encourage and maintain by all practicable means friendly contact among persons who served in the 2/29th Battalion and their families and dependants;

(c) To co-operate with other organisations having aims and objects which meet with the approval of the Association;

(d) To organise such functions as may be desirable and practicable in furtherance of the above purposes;

(e) To act in any manner and to do such other things as may be in the interests of members of the Association;

(f) To affiliate with similar organisations to give effect to (a) above;

(g) To raise funds and to accept gifts for use in furtherance of the above purposes.
