YOULE William VX55568 A Coy [F Force, Ponds Party]

Private William YOULE was born on 25 September 1920 in Carlton Victoria.

He joined the 2/29th Battalion on 3 July 1941 from the 6th Training Battalion and embarked for Singapore in August 1941.

William was transferred to 10 AGH with Malaria end November to mid December 1941 and remained at the 2 Con Depot until mid January 1942.

At the fall of Singapore Pte Youle spent the next 3 1/2 years as a prisoner of war, returning to Australia in October 1945.
