CLAYTON, Victor Ernest VX40956

Victor Clayton was born on 12 November 1917 in Cohuna Victoria.

He enlisted aged 22 at Caulfield on 9 July 1940 and joined the Battalion on 27 November 1940 as part of D Company.

Victor lived in Cohuna at the time of enlistment and was a saddler by trade.

He died a prisoner of war on 17 November 1943.

Victor is remembered on the Cohuna Roll of Honour.
