John Raymond CARR was born on 27th June 1920 (8.9.1923 according to grave) in Carlton Victoria. When he enlisted on 2nd July 1940 he lived in Abbotsford. Laura Carr was listed as next of kin.
As a prisoner of war he worked on the Thai-Burma Railway as part of F Force.
John returned to Australia on 22 September 1945 on SS Esperance Bay and was discharge from unit on 11 December 1945.
John Raymond CARR died on 29th May 2002. A loving husband of Dorothy and loved father of Virginia, Raymond and Ann.
