BOX Allister Ashley VX29209 HQ Coy F Force

Allister BOX was born in Lakes Entrance on 18 March 1918.

Allister was a Grocer’s Assistant living in Lakes Entrance when he enlisted in July 1940.

He joined the Battalion from the 2/8 Training Battalion on 29.11.1940. While he was with the 2/8 Tng Bn he was detached to Cookery School Mooroopna.

Allister embarked for Singapore with the rest of the Battalion late July 1941. He returned to Australia following the war.
